GDII-1000 Guardian

The guardian was a part of General Emil Strichland's own initiative to put better combat units in the hands of civil authorities and the better trained National militia units. While while some point out the profile of the guardian is the same as the grenadier albeit a few feet shorter, the fact remains that the guardian was in fact the original design proposed by the Lupino Design team. while ti was rejected as a frontline unit the design came unto use as a garrison unit to give the troops typically garrisoned more effect.

As far as amarmament goes the Guardian is intended for use in built up areas such as cities and to this effect the guardian has ten machine guns and two medium lasers. The guardian's armament may not seem greatly effective but, even for bigger units to have ten machine guns firing on a given area of armor even breifly can cause neough damage, though not immediately to effectively sandpaper a target down if in fact it isn't light enough so it's perforated.
Thankfully the guardian can be loaded with non leathal ammunition for it's machien guns making it an even better crowd control unit and as if this was not a good feature the light price tag for the light land-mech isn't such a bad thing.
