Description
We have been back at Earth for several weeks now, the hip is almost repaired and my crew was ready to go out and do something other than idling around Earth Space Dock. This morning I received a official communication from Starfleet high command that I really expected to be a reprimand or some such. In hind sight I think a reprimand would have been preferred to what the message actually said. Honestly I still want to believe it’s an accident but no, it’s verified, Starfleet’s quartermaster corps fucked up. The Message reads as follows.
“Greetings Lieutenant-Commander Tholos Keval Endilev,
This message has been sent to you containing a recall order of utmost urgency. We have discovered that one of our staff motivated by revenge and general malice has altered the new ship assignments to exact revenge against certain officers denying them a proper vessel for the missions they would be assigned to complete and as it turns out you are the coincidental victim of just such an event. Your current vessel, the U.S.S. Istanbul, was slated originally to be assigned to Captain Decker of third fleet. The two of you received switched vessels and to some extent switched crews. The mess with the crews is a result of the personnel department responding more to the needs of the vessel then any ill-will. It is imperative that you return to Earth Space Dock so that you and Captain Decker and your respective crew and ship situations are sorted out. Your intended vessel, an Oberth Class Science vessel with the name U.S.S. James K. Polk. “
I just don’t even. It’s like getting emasculated almost we go from an old but reasonable cruiser with four hundred crew to an over glorified runabout on steroids with eighty crew that barely passes as a science vessel and is overqualified as a victim. Oh it gets better, do you know the name of the idiot who is behind this mess? Apparently Commander Dudu Fu’suh was taken into custody for misappropriation of assets and major negligence resulting in injury and or death. Yes the fucking Pakled from that time in the academy. Worse yet he out ranks me or did before he was caught being an idiot. So as of this writing we head back to Earth Space Dock to receive our space-dinghy. So after we got our…”ship” and the U.S.S. Istanbul was being prepared to be towed to Station K7 where it’s final repairs would happen and Captain Decker would get his slightly used and abused cruiser I decided to take the U.S.S. James K. Polk for a shakedown cruise through the gravity anomalies near Andoria because honestly I'm too disgusted at the moment to do anything else.
